StreamRemote Privacy Policy
1. Summary
StreamRemote is made by Boland Solutions, LLC. It does not collect, store, or transmit personal information, and it contains no accounts, advertising, or analytics. Everything you enter in StreamRemote stays on your device, and in your own iCloud backup if you have backups turned on.
2. Data in the app
The address of your home server, saved macros, and any TV pairing tokens are stored on your device in StreamRemote’s own storage. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
StreamRemote asks iOS for the Local Network permission so it can reach the companion server on your Wi-Fi. If you use the show-search feature, the text you type is sent to that same server on your network, and from there to whichever local service you have configured (for example an Ollama instance on your computer). Nothing you type is sent to Boland Solutions or to any outside service.
3. Third parties
StreamRemote does not include third-party software development kits that collect data, and it does not send data to third-party services. Apple may collect information related to your App Store purchase and to the app’s operation, such as crash reports if you have chosen to share them with developers; that collection is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.
4. Children
StreamRemote is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
5. Changes
If a future version of StreamRemote changes how it handles information, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
